VectorMBE Implementation Roadmap
Five phases delivering agentic entity generation with continuous verification, intelligent routing, live SysML v2 connectivity, structural evaluation, and constraint-driven trade analysis. Each phase is a discrete, shippable capability increment.
At a Glance
Continuous Verification Gate + Entity Validator
Every agent-generated entity is validated by the ontology reasoner and continuous-verification gate before it enters the graph. Anything that fails due to a wrong class hierarchy, conflicting constraints, or low confidence gets flagged for human review instead of silently polluting the model.
Intelligent Model Routing + Completeness Checker
Different tasks need different models. This phase dispatches each job (extraction, tracing, annotation, summarization) to the right model automatically, tracks cost per project, and alerts engineers when the graph is missing connections before gaps become integration problems.
SysML v2 Integration
VectorMBE connects directly to live SysML v2 repositories via REST API with no batch exports and no file parsing. Changes in the model sync to VectorMBE automatically, and requirement verification runs over the actual graph structure instead of flat prompts.
Evaluation Framework + Digital Thread
Standard accuracy metrics don't tell you if your knowledge graph is structurally correct. This phase adds graph-level scoring, versioned model diffing, and a cross-phase digital thread that traces every decision from requirements through design to operations, with PLM integration to close the loop.
Constraint-Driven Trade Analysis
With a validated, evidence-backed graph, MCP-connected AI agents compare design alternatives against competing constraints and objectives. Each run queries the graph for bounds, executes the analysis, and logs results with full provenance: which requirement drove which decision, which model produced which output. Agents cannot override constraint gates, so the governed graph stays consistent throughout.

Directions we are assessing
These are not scheduled phases and none of it ships today. They are directions under active assessment, listed here so the roadmap reflects what we are actually weighing rather than only what is already committed.
DoDAF DM2 alignment
VectorMBE's ontology is grounded in the SERC Handbook on Digital Engineering with Ontologies v2.0. Aligning that ontology to the DoDAF DM2 conceptual model would let defense programs map VectorMBE entities onto an architecture framework their reviewers already accept. We are evaluating the mapping; no DM2 conformance exists in the product today.
SVG diagram export from SPARQL
VectorMBE already generates SysML and UML diagrams from the entity graph — block definition, internal block, activity, sequence, state machine, parametric and requirement diagrams — as PlantUML, Mermaid and JSON layouts. Adding SVG rendered directly from a SPARQL query would make diagrams embeddable in review packages without a round trip through another tool.
Questions about the roadmap or want to shape what gets built next? We're actively developing VectorMBE and welcome input from engineering teams working in safety-critical programs.
